Day 16, Manaus, Brazil March 9

 Weather, sunny, warm, humid

Manaus, Brazil overnighted

This was a beatiful weatherwise day, no rain.  We did not book any excursions today.

We walked along the upper deck for a while and found some huge bugs.  We really needed a ruler to show how large the beetle was.  There were different bugs on the upper deck.  One bug looked like a rice bug found in Thailand.

We always have breakfast in Compass Rose, lunch is the same place as well as dinner.  The food has been very good.  I had a vegetable curry dish for dinner which was quite good.  Have tried a few vegetarian dishes as they are usually Indian themed.  Rich had a filet mignon which he said was cooked just right and was fork tender.  Our downfall here are the desserts.  And the waistlines will show that is so true.  Had mint chocolate chip ice cream which is my favorite and Rich had a chocolate lava cake.

Last night's show was the production cast.  This was such a great show put on by the singers and dancers, The Great American Song Factory, songs from the 50's and 60's.  The place was packed and they received a standing ovation.

Sailing on the Amazon is smooth, still greenery debris in the water, coffee colored water.

Tomorrow we will be visiting Parintins, Brazil and we will be anchored again.
