Warm, sunny, low 80s and humid
Hey Everybody,
We went to see the production show, Tuxedo, last evening. It was quite good, cast has lots of energy.
Today we docked at Pointe-A-Pitre, Guadeloupe, first time here. Our tour early this morning was a panoramic tour on a coach. We saw many beaches which were beautiful, had a fruit drink at a restaurant and went to an artisanal village where there were many crafts, clothes, jewelry, spices, coffee. Bought a spice mix for chicken. Not a fan of shopping stops.
The first stop was at a cemetary where all the stuctures were black and white.
This tour was 4 1/2 hours and was enjoyable. The area is lush, no snakes here because the mongoose eat them so now the snakes are gone. The mongoose do not have any enemies here so they are quite populated.
Guadeloupe is shaped like a butterfly with the wings joined by 2 bridges. It is a coral island.
We arrived back to the ship after 1 so we headed up to La Veranda where we had large salads for lunch.
We did manage to walk 30 minutes around the deck as it was not too hot, there is humidiy but it was not bothersome.
This evening we will dine in Compass Rose. The menus for all the dining rooms are shown on the tv so it is helpful in deciding where to dine.
Tomorrow we will be in St. George's, Grenada and we will be docked.
Until next time...
